Competent parents. Or rather incompetent parents. One of my favorite hobby horses. IMO, this education effort is mostly off target because it is addressing what is addressable by government rather than what is the real problem. The low hanging fruit approach. The issue of incompetent parents would give new meaning to "the third rail of politics." The left won't call anyone "incompetent." The right thinks a competent parent is one who is married. Good grief. No way to tackle that problem.
