I agree that Kerry's apparent flip flops on the war are troubling (he didn't learn anything from the mistakes made by Gore in his campaign, people want to hear a coherent message even if they don't always agree with it). But, come on now, we've got a guy sitting in the White House who whipped up war fever over phantom WMDs and has done tremendous damage to our credibility as a nation in the process, so I honestly think both candidates have credibility problems. To say otherwise is just being in partisan denial.

I'll tell you what, neither major party is really interested in doing the right thing and ending the death spiral of war. The right thing is to end the bloody oil trade by really developing alternatives as is possible now in the early 21st Century. That would make the world a much more just, more peacful, more pro-life place for all to live in. There is something to the criticisms of our politics from 3rd parties. Our political debate is narrow. There are other, more benign approaches to our problems.
