KLP, Wild animals have the instincts to find a safe place, in most cases, but really bad storms can cause them many problem. Pet animals have been bred into the lives of humans for so many thousands of years, that they need to be cared for in the case of unusual situations, such as storms. They just don't know what they should do.

There are 3 feral cats that were born, and live around our house, and even though we can't let them in the house, for many reasons, I set up a shelter for them, and put out some food, and water, for them. It causes me great pain to see an innocent animal be harmed, pets or not.

In most cases, when a person lets a dog, or cat, into their lives, they definitely become a member of the family, and should be treated as such.

We suffered no physical damage, but the power was off for almost 48 hours, and we lost some food from the refrigerator. There was more flooding in the county than the old timers had ever seen before, and I don't know if that has subsided yet, or not.
