John's CCI(13)X scan formula seeks crossovers from below -150 to anywhere over -150 today. CCI values can range far lower and higher than -100 and +100 levels. The trigger point for short term picks (per Richard) is a move from below -150 and that's what this formula seeks. Some jump big (AMWD today for instance) from -300 something to +280 something so you'll have a potpourri of ending values, knowing only that they all crossed from somewhere below -150 without software that displays CCI. I'm more confused with the negative QRS values than anything else here.
