how i met moneta: moneta has been a stock of my interest for about 3 years now. it deserves a thread i'm glad i found.
i am curious how some people have come to know about moneta. for me it began with a rumour on a golf course in kentuckey that spread my way. (that would be the runour, not the colf course. i'm in michigan.)
these guys were in the song publishing business specializing in country music. others working there got involved in it too, purchased shares; even wrote a song about moneta and sent a recording of it up to the company office in canada, a moneta theme song. they got a kick out of it.
the guys in kentuckey would sit around and joke how they could now tell people in casual conversation - " yes, it's true, i do make my living working with country music; but -----
--- you aught to see my GOLD MINE !!"
hearing about these fun loving guys and their antics has given me a special affection for moneta a bit beyond investment. no, i don't own any now, though i owned some 2 years ago which really helped me out as a "bank" for jumping into another stock at the right time.
i will probably be watching moneta for years. it's the one that got me back into the market, and so, into this computer, now scribling on the internet at bed time. good clean fun.
appologies for the poor statement "averaging down into another stock". i grimmiced afterwords, but was too late to edit. (my second reply attempt on a thread.)
looking forward, gnight!
