Rich..I know in hindsight Viet Nam looks lousy, but I think Johnson and the guys advising him felt it was the right thing to do at the time. It was a different time and communism was a different type of threat. You may consider this blasphemy, but I have to wonder if the 3,000,000 killed in Cambodia would have had a better shot if we had stuck around longer. I dislike Bush because he went to war when I don't think he had to, but I also realize that when you DO go to war you have to make an ALLOUT commitment.
