I wonder how the Bush Vietnam/Air Guard affects swing voters, if at all.

My 70 year old mother, who has never voted ONCE in her life, today told me that she wanted to register to vote for Bush because she just can't stand Kerry.

I printed out the application and the instructions and even an envelope for her. The Virginia limit is 29 days so she still has time.

My husband, who hates Bush, is voting for Bush anyway, because he hates Kerry worse.

My 19 year old son is looking forward to voting for Bush as a first time voter, but hedging his bets. If the election looks like it's easy for Bush he may vote Third Party just on general principles. I might do some of the "motherly guilt trip" if the election looks close. "What if Bush lost by one vote?"

Even I am fired up, and that was hard to do.
