Shoe, I will look at LFB. The value of standing timber is up but will go MUCH higher (as you know I am in the lumber business). My shorts are concentrated in tech stocks because I am an engineer by trade and deal with companies that I understand.

Yes, I remember the great leap in productivity when our Fortran programs went from punched cards in timeshare. But there was also a big leap when we went from timeshare to workstations and got out from under the control of IS departments. Part of the allure of "thin client" is an attempt by the IS departments to regain control and budget. This also explains part of the y2k scam, IS departments use it as an excuse to get more budget and central control. But when the day is done distributed processing with central control and installation of application software will win out.
