Explain al sadr acting up in bagdad then? Neither we or the iraqis seem to have the ability to shut down him or the falujans or control the borders. Will progress happen fast enough to offset the growing(strong minority view in the US) feeling that buah leads the gang who couldnt shoot straight. I just dont know if we have the time to succeed--time as defined by the relatively short attention span of americans like me. Or the will--now that casualties are 4 digits. Countries do make strategic retreats you know. Now to my proposal of setting a date certain for US to leave. Still believe that will be a wake up call for alawi, sistani, iran, and nationalist sunnis in tactical alliance with baathists and terrorists. Last time i said it, no one seemed to buy in. I think its important to do it and a reasonable time would be to announce it in january and give them a year. Mike
