Murali-I like your topic. Of course I think there is a political bias. IMO-It has a lot to do with who's in control of it, as to witch way the bias swings. Indirectly,it could be the CEO, or it could trickle down to a news writers editor. All the majors are for profit corporations, so ratings witch attracts advertising, play a big roll also. The majors of all media's most likely have both of the two major parties working for them. Each corporation has a person in charge, and it depends if he or she has a political bias. I don't see a way for it not to happen on political stories. Most of the majors are diversified, so IMO, profit doesn't always play a roll in political reporting. People have more choices now with cable. I believe those people watching have a political bias, hence the growth among competitors serving the media.
