I almost put "radical" before the word Muslims, but then I started thinking about all the polls that have taken place in predominantly Muslim countries, like Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia. In all of those polls where they asked the question "do you support the actions of Osama?" or "do you think Osama is a hero or a terrorist?", the overwhelming majority said they support his actions and they think he is a hero. In one poll I saw in Egypt, the response was about 99% in favor of Osama.

So again, we have another case of the media guiding the public. They say Muslims are peaceful and the terrorists are a fringe group, but the polls tell us a different story. It tells us that the majority of Muslims support Osama and think he's a hero. This is not fringe. This is mainstream and that is very scary. But what is scarier to me is that the majority of civilized people don't realize the danger we face, because they assume this is a fringe phenomenon. In addition, do you even know what they teach their kids in Mosques? They aren't taught to live in peace with the infidel. They are taught to hate us and to struggle against us, violently if need be. How do you combat the wholesale inculcation of children to this cultish and hatefilled way of thinking?

I refuse to be politically correct in the face of the biggest danger this country and other civilized countries have seen since the rise of Hitler. I wish more people did as much reading as I do, so they can find out the facts for themselves, instead of making dangerous assumptions.

BTW, if we had discussed this prior to 9/11, I would have said Islam was peaceful, but not anymore. The Salafist and Wahabiist movements have gone mainstream and that portends a very dark future, unless we start dealing with it diplomatically, militarily, and economically. We need to pull out all the stops to face the threat too, because it's very real. However, the first step in dealing with a problem is to explicitly acknowledge the extent of the problem. Only then can you face it head on and overcome it.
