i don't think many people have a problem with Bush service. i don't. he served longer duty than 90% of guard units. most were cut to four months active to make more room for regular army training. Bush would have gone over if called up. they stopped using the type plane he was qualified on and his mos (military job training was no longer of any use to the air national guard.) In other words you believe he should have gotten a book and come to a meeting sat in room and collected pay from the state for reading a book. If the guard wanted more flyers they should have discharged him to inactive service and brought in new men to train on new fighters who would have six years to go.
