>btw-how is Quemm still useful when there is a built in MM in Win 95<

I had the same question. When I was out looking at the products on the store shelves last weekend I spent some time reading what was on the boxes. The claim made was Speed, up to 30% faster.

An operating system from MicroSoft usually contains the "BASICS" to operate and maintain a System.. But, has never contained the "HIGH PERFORMANCE" type utilities to really make your system scream.

This opens up an entire Market segment for companies like; Symantec, CyberMedia, McAfee, your QuaterDeck and others...

Quemm was priced at $64.99, and I really thought about picking it up. The truth is my current system hasn't really slowed down enough to notice, I'm still running a 100mhz Pentium. However, come Christmas I'm putting in one of those 3D advanced graphic boards, to drive some of those neat new games Santa is bringing for the kids. Dad will probably get the Quemm in his sock at that time, just to keep the ole boy running....
