I've read the passages, too. What, pray tell, do they have to do with the campaign other than pissing off a lot of Vietnam vets who don't believe they are war criminals but decent law-abiding guys?

Sure, free-fire zones were against the Geneva Convention. How does that translate to Kerry good, Bush bad? And why does it have a bearing on the election?
