story.news.yahoo.com This is a telling article. France was reportedly stunned by the kidnapping of two French journalists because it had opposed the war in Iraq. It sounds like the kidnappers were trying to force France to give up its ban on headresses. How many more kidnappings and hostage situations is it going to take to get people to understand that appeasement is not a viable approach?
