I take it you didn't like the article.

Well how's this for reasons to get rid of the electoral college. I know very few elections that are decided by an electoral college. That, in itself, should tell you something.

It also makes possible for a president not popularly elected ie Bush to take office.

I think those are two excellent reasons to get rid of it.........and I don't think they are particularly slick.
