When my area of Florida lost power due to Charlie, people would honk and hand out gatorade to the people from various electric companies that were assigned to help FPL restore power.

We had none for over a week after Charlie. We were only intermittently affected by Frances.

Guys from Texas and Alabama replaced the transformer in my neighborhood. Many were still here when Frances hit and were sent over to Palm Beach.

Red Cross workers staying in Fort Myers were totally exhausted but had to go to the east coast to deal with Frances.

The mind reels with thoughts of Ivan.
I think that this weekend at the very least will create more havoc for the power companies. MP
