I have run into a problem on my main machine that perhaps someone here will have a quick solution for.

I am changing my Raid 0 to Raid 1. All of my Bio settings seem to be proper. I have an on board promise raid controller. I show that the Raid 1 has been assigned and is functional. I have two segate SATA drives.

Now, I put in the XP Pro CD to boot from. After checking my computer configuration and loading key drivers it comes up to point where you normally are asked to pick a disk for windows installation. In my case, it doesn't recognize any known disk drives?

I didn't run into this problem with the Raid 0 setup. Windows simply recognize the Raid 0 as a single drive.

Does anyone have a suggestion? I am using Asus P4C800 Deluxe motherboard with updated Bios.

Surely, I don't have to discount one of the drives and install windows and go back and set of the Raid 0 and mirror it to the secondary drive.

I tried booting to a system commander version 7 CD and it recognized the discs right a way. I went ahead and reformatted the drives and tried again, but windows still does not recognize the drives.

Do I still have to F6 and reload the fast track raid drivers while XP is loading temporary drivers? I guess I could copy them to a floppy from the motherboard CD and try giving it to windows.
