We didn't know that much about Clinton's weaknesses and character defects back in 1992.

You don't remember Jennifer Flowers almost sinking Clinton? Don Hewitt admitted in his Bio that he edited the 60 minutes interview with Bubba and Hillary in a way that saved his butt. But character didn't count then. We were at the end of history. No more wars.
