As I recall from my reading the Puritans were somewhat representative ... Your assumptions seem a bit revisionistic. I must encourage you to abandon your anti-religious bent, as it is having a compromising effect on your proposed point of view. If it is only in opposing the religious then you are opposing the vast majority of Iraqi people from the right to self-determination absolutely ... to wit, you are indirectly suggesting oppression and persecution as a course of action.
