Hey look, every administrative office have their standards. The th superscript could be have easily been from a high tech typewriter of the era. I remember my neighbor’s typewriter having italics, all numbers, and even basic fractions to 1/16.

Do you doubt GW's intentions back then? It is pretty clear to most of us that he was stretching his fathers authority to its limits. However, now he is sober and forgiven.
