Gosh, what is place today, a typesetter's convention? Some of my earliest childhood memories are of hanging around my Dad's Linotype while it was clinking away... woodsidepress.com Eventually they switched to modern printing with computer composition. The old flatbed press was traded in for an offset unit, and intentionally destroyed by the manufacturer to take it out of circulation. I'll never forget the sound of the old clunker running on press day: Ka-thunk whooosh! Ka-thunk whooosh! Ka-thunk-whoosh!
