Arrogance! It's you who are being arrogant to believe that a whole entire culture does not want freedom!

Freedom is not an imposition. That would be like saying it is arrogant to impose the right to breathe air on the rest of the world, just because we Americans get to breathe air.

Are you really that naive to believe the Arabs DON'T want freedom? Of course they do. And they have been completely unable to unseat the Arab oppressors who rule them in order to win that freedom.

If you are an American citizen, you really need to stop believing all the bad propaganda about the U.S. We are not the root of all evil. In fact, most Americans are very good hearted and are just trying to help the world. That's not arrogance. That's called giving back.

It's people who believe that other cultures don't want or don't deserve freedom that are the true obstacle to world wide peace. The more countries whose governments are determined by and held accountable to the people, the closer we'll all get towards world peace.

That's not arrogance, that is common sense. Freedom is as necessary to a peaceful, integrated culture, as air is to life itself.

P.S. Yes, I do travel the world. I've been everywhere from Honduras to Hong Kong and traveled Europe extensively. I even lived in Madrid for 2 years. I have several family members who were educated in the foreign services school at Georgetown and have my own list of hoity toity friends who "know" things about the world, most of which are so sickeningly liberal, I jokingly call them communists. Don't assume that one person's opinion is more valuable than another's just because their chosen profession is different. :)
