Whoever prepared the document was incredibly stupid or was pro-Bush- and thought CBS might be incredibly stupid and sloppy and fall for it. Anyone giving it any thought would realize the th was not a 1971 typewriters and the proportional spacing was not 1971 era.

It reminds me of Patsys trademark case- where to show they were first they created, backdated an invoice- but they used a current area code that didn't exist at time of backdated invoice. And a so-called decent law firm was involved.
