Smarter than the rank and file, not too smart to be able to relate to the common man. That doesn't mean Kerry is smart. I think his snobbism comes from something other than his IQ. He is very articulate but condescending, and very smart people in public life don't tend to be condescending, they try very hard not to be. Very smart people don't tend to be in love with the sound of their own voices, unless they are in academia maybe. The smartest people I've ever known were very humble because nobody ever understood them. But I am talking about people above genius (above 140). Kerry seems to think he is a genius. Among brain workers, 140 is nothing to brag about. Maybe half this thread is around or above that level. This is a smart thread. :)
