Reports are leaking, and they are not confirmed, that Hersch has traced knowledge of the tortures of Abu Ghraib, contemporaneously, in the Office of the National Security Adviser...up to, and including Condeleeza Rice.

If Rice knew, it is as good as saying Bush knew.

This is bigger than Georgie blowing off the guard 30 plus years ago, it is more important than whether he was doing blow a little over a decade ago.

It is the knowledge of the highest branch of the United States Government knowing of torture and doing NOTHING.

It is the same pattern used repeatedly by tin-horn and bigger despots throughout history.

And it may have happened in our current government.
