there is one whipping i remember from my youth... i am the youngest and got a pass on a lot of stuff..... but there was a boy in the neighborhood who was picked on. one day he was coming down the street and i went out and blocked him.... i was six.... my father called me inside and got his belt. the only time in my life i saw it. and he told me... "you disappointed me. you are to stand up for those picked on. how dare you." i got it. i was wrong. and it wasn't a bad beating. lol. no worries. and... it was less bad than what i did to that child. i ganged up with the others because... what? he was too pale? too small? too sweet? who knows. my father's point came home.... stand up for the one beaten down by others. stand up for the one who can't defend themselves. ... he humiliated me that day. at six... he made me look up and decide who i was.
