Paradoxically, the revelation in the Ottawa Citizen interview that things were worse than anybody imagined on the cost side increases the upside leverage if, and given the history of the company it's a big if, Owens manages to pull a string of rabbits out of the hat. Tom, fyi, things aren't as hard to fix as you may think. It really just takes a leader with balls to make the right decisions. Often, what's lacking in most companies, whether they are doing well or not, is a leader that plans and takes the decision as opposed to nothing happening. I wish Owens were the leader back 10 years ago.
