What an interesting response Jewell. You've managed to question my motives in my criticism of our "mission in Iraq." That should have allowed you to dismiss my thinking but you persisted.

You made the bold statement that, "[t]he Iraqis have no National identity except the one represented by the coalition government." (That conclusion ends a lot of debate.)

Having established in your own mind that the Iraqis want what our appointed rulers in Iraq want, you then concluded that any groups in Iraq with different goals could be marginalized as "Shi'ite extremists or the Sunni Extremists or the Kurds."

But in order to be sure that those three groups could not be seen as legitimate factors in Iraq, you immediately referred to Al Sadr and the "Sunni Extremist Al-Zaraquawi."

Your reasoning: we stand between "brutal murdering tyrannists" and the people of Iraq who want what the rulers we've appointed to control Iraq say they want. Not only that, we stand between those tyrants and "[t]heir primary goal [which] is to establish control of the world via a Muslim run government that would also include a Caliphate, which they would direct. This would initially mean subordinating the rest of the population of Iraq and eventually the world."

So I think it may not be time well spent in trying to discuss the reality of what's happening in Iraq and Afghanistan with someone who has, alternatively, Pollyanna and doomsday radical perspectives. Ed
