Having looked at the pdfs, it is inconceivable to me that anyone who has worked with both Selectrics and Microsoft Word could have been fooled by them. In particular, it is glaringly obvious that the typest used a space chacter between the "147" and the "th" to avoid Word's AutoCorrect feature's automatic substitution of the superscript, in all but one instance. In looking at the document, there clearly has been a space between the two for this purpose (in real documents, there would never be such a space, and there wasn't in the one instance where the superscripted text is present).

I take issue with your statement:

That I realize that facts aren't all that important in these things. But these "debunking" of those memos is pure fantasy...

It is totally obvious, having looked at the document, and there is no way in hell an experienced expert could have missed this. No way.
