Those who collaborated with us were treated as traitors to their own country -- they received brutal treatment and that is a fact. But what would the course have been if we had not intervened? It is highly unlikely that the unification of the country would have been anywhere near as brutal. We set the stage. They died on the stage we set. Who is to blame? Our role was central to the millions who died in the war and those who suffered after the war. Traitors who help foreign invaders to kill millions of your countrymen are unlikely to be treated kindly.
