<<< You don't have to be well born to get ahead, look at Bill Clinton. He came from a broken home, had an abusive step father, yet became a two term President. He has a very high IQ but his real gift is "people smarts.">>>
I have to agree with you concerning Bill. It is just remarkable how far he had to go to get to be President. What is more remarkable is that we live in a country that gives some one like Bill a chance to go from the lowest strata in our society to becoming PROTUS.
Nevertheless, I could never forgive him for not being able to keep his sex drive in check.
There is only one PROTUS and if that is the job you want, IMO, you have to set your sights on it at an early age and give up all the crap.
You have to give up extracurricular sex. You have to give up excessive drinking. You have to study. You have to go in training to become PROTUS - just as you would if you wanted to be a great athlete, poet, musician, writer, doctor, scientist, or whatever.
There is one PROTUS and that is the most important job on earth.
I don't think it is too much to ask that in addition the candidate also has to have a high IQ.
In this day and age, the PROTUS has to be able to understand a lot of complex stuff. He/she does not have to go into a lot of detail - but at least understand enough so that these very high IQ people can't fool the PROTUS.
We should rethink the minimum standards for someone to become PROTUS. The job is too important.
Look I don't have a lot of the qualities to become President. That is just tough. We have to be a lot more demanding. |
