As with everything, it is a matter of degree. A politician who is completely poll-bound is just taking up space, and possibly guilty of criminal negligence. On the other extreme, one who is so dogmatic as to ignore reality may be doing more harm than good.

We seem to disagree as to where Bush stands on that scale. In my eyes, his refusal to see reality, and adjust for it, in so many areas pushes him to that extreme end.
