GM eyes economy, more cost cuts

No. 1 automaker says it doesn't see things getting better, may have to tighten belts even more.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - General Motors Corp.'s chief executive said the world's largest automaker might impose deeper cost cuts if the U.S. economy doesn't soon improve, sales don't rebound and inventories stay high, according to a report published Friday.
