I saw a report that CBS will air a segment tonight explaining how a 1972 National Guard typewriter could create a Superscript "TH." Now I'm not saying this is impossible, but what about the other 25 major points of contention? Such as the fact that each line ends on exactly the same word that the default setting MS Word would choose? Or the fact that each line is centered? Or the fact that the font and the font size used were unavailable to typewriters in 1972? Or that the spacing of the individual letters is impossible for 1972 technolgy. Or that the provenance of the documents is unknown? To steal an old line, they've been accused of killing three men and a dog and all they've done is triumphantly produced the DOG! And maybe not even that!
