I missed Rather live (dang!) so I went to CBS News and they have a video entitled Rather: It's Real. It looks like an excerpt but I'm not sure. If it is, I was mistaken about him just making an announcement, it was an interview, but the "questions" were so soft-ball it was ridiculous. He kept saying how "truth" and "facts" were so important and in journalism you have to be open-minded and keep probing and if anyone brought him "definitive proof" that the memos were fake let's see it. Made me sick to my stomach. So did his talking down to his audience about the typeface and the "th" - "it may be too deep for some people" and it was on some of the Bush documents from the White House. Bleah.
