Fernando, the Amiga was also a very good machines with strong market niches and loyal following and it disappeared. A computer disappears not because the hardware is no longer manufactured, it disappears because there is no longer the software available for it. This is a very real possibility for the Mac. Also in the Time/Newsweek articles on Apple-M$, Steve Jobs hints that the way out for Apple is giving up on the battle for the desktop and try to win with NCs.
