NG service is shirking duty? Not in my book.

I know some people wanted to get in the Guard back during the VN days. I knew a guy who did get in the national guard. He was no one special, his mom was a nurse, dad was retired, they had a small house like ours. Conclusion: Ordinary people with no "pull" could and did get in the guard.

Another consideration, Bush signed up to be a pilot. While lots of people were signing up to get into the guard, how many were trying to become pilots?
