The issue is not CBS and the memo. That is not what the people are going to consider when they vote for their President.

Is Bush fit to be President is what they are asking? They are now convinced that he has not achieved anything significant in his life. They are finding out that when when he called upon to accept responsibility and sign up, he shirks and dodges. And the pattern of behavior he displayed 30 years ago is what he continued to display during the past 4 years.

The terrorists designed to hit America hard. Under Bush, not only did he provide them an opportunity to physically strike at America, but they have also significantly affected the quality of life. It was for Bush to provide that leadership to ensure our economic well-being. It was for Bush to provide the leadership to increase our self-confidence to protect ourselves. Instead he continues to spread fear in us. That "Yes we can and we will" approach is not a Bush a forte. He does not know what success means. How can he bring success when he himself has tasted success in his personal life.
