Is that the official line? In a quick search I could only find a comment that Rather had completed "a short stint" in the Marines. Years ago Rather claimed to have served two tours in the USMC. He got caught in the lie and has not addressed it since. BG Burkett, Stolen Valor author, has mentioned it for years. BG said today that he has Rather's service record and his two tours were 4 months. LOL
