Newsweek's postconvention poll: 42 percent of Americans still believe that Saddam "was directly involved" in the Sept. 11 attacks. What stuns me is 42% of Americans STILL think Saddam was behind 9/11! That has to be 84% of the 50% of Americans that support Bush. It seems to me that we need to be walking around, asking people if they believe Saddam was behind 9/11, and if they answer yes - grab them and shake them and force them to consider the evidence! A MASSIVE education effort is needed. Then ask them why we are in Iraq. Sometimes you just want to throw up your hands and move to a less stupid country...
