I think special notice should be taken of the left side blowups of characters. If you notice the WORD document the superscript "th" do not connect to each other, the "8" has a top loop and a bottom loop of the same size, and the "7" has a little line (I think it's called a serif).

TP,
I appreciate your taking the time to do this with me.

The blowup for the 18 august memo shows that the "th" superscript run into each other

I certainly agree with that...But look closer.
On the 1 August 72 document the "th" not only does not connect, it is not superscript and you are right it does have a space betwenn the letters and digits as you say...But that is only necessary if you are using a PC and want to conceal the MS word superscript.
It is not normal typing. A normal document would not have a space between 111 and th...like this "111 th". It would be typed "111th". But if you type it in MS word without the space you get superscript.

Take a moment to try it in MS word and note the difference. Now look at the documents and you will see the 18 August 1973 document was computer generated.

Now look again at the 18 August 1973 memo. You can see the forger became careless and did not inseret the space. Viola! superscript was automatically inserted by word.

The forger slipped on that one.

Kerning is another issue. The kerning of all the forgeries matches MS word precisely...Not close..PRECISELY. Yet MS word was not invented until the 1980s.

You can prove that by typing any of the documents in MS word and using Adobe superimpose your typing on the CBS documents. Do them in different colors and look for color bleed. There will be NONE. Not even a smidgeon.

The centering is another key giveaway. all the addresses are perfectly centered.
Paper in typewriters never aligned exactly and typewriter tabs never go to the exact same point on every page. Yet they do on all the CBS documents. And they were typed over a period of 2 years.
That can only be done with a computer.

The kerning on each document is an exact match for MS word too. And no 1973 typewriter could adjust kerning to MS word a program that did not exist for another 8 years. In fact I don't believe any typewritwers then could adjust kerning at all.

If you want to refresh your memory of the differences look at the 5 Sep 73 document with the 6 Sep 73 endorsement (GWB site) It was all done on the unit typewriter.
