However, I still really don't understand how hard it is for cbsnews to just run over to a pc somewhere with word from office 2000 in there and just type the text in one by one.

Does it have to be Office 2000?

I just typed the CYA memo into Word. I've only used Word a few times so I haven't customized it at all and I am not expert in it. I noticed two big differences.

One is that the superscript I got from Word aligns the top of the superscript with the top of the numbers in 187th. On the scanned version, the superscript is above the top of the numbers.

The other is that Word automatically indents the two bullets. Getting them to justify left is a bitch if you don't know Word very well, says she who tried to do it once.

If this material has been already covered, my apologies.
