I just returned from a lunch program. The speaker was a civilian employee of the local district of the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers, who has spent approximately a year in Iraq assisting with reconstruction projects.

She remarked that although you don't see it in the news here much, the Iraqi people are truly grateful that we are there and that we liberated the country and freed it from Saddam. The refrain she heard a lot from Iraqis was "Bush Good" (pronounced "Booosh Good")

She said Fallujah is a cesspool and is not representative of the rest of the country, although Fallujah and similar areas are all the media seems interested in focusing on.

It was a very inspiring presentation.
