Yes, this stock is indeed discounting the worst, and I just want to add that where you see a current lack of market share, I see loads of potential growth that Dell and Compaq have already reached. What I'm saying is, it's a lot easier to double your market share from 1% to 2% than it is to go from 13% to 26%.

Also, you really can't say that AMD:Intel = Micron:Dell. For AMD's sales to really pick up, the industry would have to undergo a significant change. Micron's products are perfectly interchangeable with Dell's, which is definitely not true in the chip market.
