There have been other quarters where IBM has reported declining database revenues and Oracle has reported growth in new license sales, and I've read analysts claiming that IBM is taking share from ORCL. That's why I only pay attention to a small number of analysts that I have noticed over time are actually right somewhat more often than they are wrong.
