I don't expect Bush to make any major inroads with the black community. However, I do not think that their turnout for Kerry is going to match their turnout for Gore and Clinton. I do not see the same level of enthusiasm. Clinton and Gore had deep long term ties to the black community; Kerry does not. He may be from Massachusetts, but he is no Ted Kennedy.

I do think that Bush will work hard on minority outreach during his second term. It is vital for the long term health of the party. If only the GOP could break that lock...
