how could it be "gone" when they continue to make money quarter after quarter? second, isn't IF the printer division goes away one pretty big IF? I think its best to go beyond mere HEADLINES and impressions when looking at companies. I believe if you take the time to do that, you will see that the problems with HPQ are one of expectations: what Carly has SET and what she has delivered. The problems at HPQ are NOT fatal. However, with sun micro, the problem is entirely one of fundamentals. this company simply can't make money and the already absurdly rich CEO raising $16m by selling shares in the $3 range is a data point that seems to agree with that thesis.
