Drudge is the only one as bad as Drudge. It is an arm of the RNC's dirty tricks's wing. When they want to distance themselves from a smear rumor, they give it to Drudge to release. Or Smearvets or Newsmax, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc.

Maybe there are leftwing equivalents, but they are small and I've never seen them. The rightwing has poured money into the internet to try and dominate the spin. Problem is, they are not journalistic and dont care if they are lying. The one liberal equivalent Salon.com is very much concerned with getting their stories right. They take journalistic standards very seriously.
