Scott,

I generally don't have a problem with Sy Hersh and I have been a diligent reader of The New Yorker for over thirty years.

I'll probably pick up a copy of Hersh's book sometime next year. I always take his material with a grain of salt. Like Woodward, he is writing history on the run. Clarification and refinement is left to future historians.

As a political issue, I don't think that the prison scandal still resonates with the American people. The DNC is going to have to come up with an October surprise. I'm sure that they have more than a few ideas.

Did you catch Kitty Kelly? Very weak. I hope that they put her on 60 Minutes.

I would suggest that The New Yorker is no longer infallible; there is hardly a week that I don't catch at least one spelling or grammatical error. <gg>
